We are currently investing into building the revolutionary B2B data platform for the sports industry where operational decision-making is backed by data transparency and collaboration at the interface between retailers and brands. Our clients are both, sports retailers as well as sports brands. We deliver sustainable growth through data to both sides.

This role will be part of the Sales & Services team where our mission is to “win retailers and suppliers to join our platform and help them make better decisions through deep operational integration in their daily business”.

Therefore, and as we are growing, your personal mission at emnos will be to “accelerate the growth of our user base in sports and maximize our clients’ Return on Investment for their emnos Sports platform membership”.

Your future tasks

As the Senior Account Manager Sports, you will:

  • Be the face of the emnos platform to the sports industry and lead the way to anchor it as the central data platform in sports retail
  • Participate in the definition, own and execute the emnos commercial strategy in sports
  • Identify opportunities with fitting sports retailers and brands to become members of the emnos Sports platform
  • Follow these targets through the end-2-end sales cycle from first connection to successful deal closure and onboarding
  • Develop a deep understanding for the benefits of the emnos Sports platform per account and convincingly customize your communication during the sales cycle
  • Onboard new accounts to the emnos Sports platform and train them how to sustainably realize their Return on Investment through operational use cases
  • Understand and support both, retailers and brands, in operational processes and decisions by turning data into insights and actions through the emnos Sports platform
  • Consult users of the emnos Sports platform in the analysis of the sell-through and stock data by executing own analyses, draw conclusions and propose actions
  • Be the sparring partner for the product management team in defining the content of the emnos Sports platform

Skills & Requirements

To successfully execute the tasks above, you easily meet the following criteria:

  • You have worked either for a sports retailer in category management or in the buying department, or for a sports brand in a retailer-facing role
  • You are also convinced that the sports industry has so much unused potential that can be unleashed by using available data and analytics in a completely new way
  • You know how and in which processes you would use those data at the retailer AND the brand side to optimize sales, margins and stock levels
  • The order and in-season management processes in sports are familiar to you
  • Ideally, you even have experience in leveraging data from other retail sectors like fashion or FMCG/food retail
  • You have strong communication and storytelling skills and enjoy standing in front of prospects and clients
  • You take the answer “not now” as motivation to be even more convincing and to find even stronger arguments for the immediate Return on Investment
  • You are empathetic and enjoy helping and consulting our existing users to maximize their benefit from the platform
  • You have the ability to build excellent relationships with counterparts, to establish trust and become a true strategic partner
  • You speak English and German fluently, French is a plus
  • You are Ok to travel within Europe every now and then, mainly in the DACH region
